The first DOMINOS test session for training students with Serious Games (SGs) was another important key objective of DOMINOS project that had its first session in December 2023.
The students embarked on an immersive journey into the dynamic world of medical education and training using asynchronous training in the format of SGs.
DOMINOS teachers made available 15 SGs, i.e. 5 per area (Dentistry, Medicine and Pharmacy) and almost 300 students from the our universities and from the three areas enthusiastically enrolled in this activity.
The asynchronous SGs were offered for a period of 2.5 weeks: it was a fantastic opportunity for the students, including those not used to take OSCE, to test the SGs that the teachers prepared and appreciate the opportunity of training "whenever and wherever" they wanted (24/7).
The experience with the Moodle platform was absolutely smooth, with great satisfaction from both sides, teachers and students.
During this test session, questionnaires were filled before and after playing with the SGs and also specific feedback was provided on each SG by the students. These questionnaires were very valuable to better tailor our activities in 2024.
